I want to find a few new bands and maybe expand my musical horizon because I’m writing my own music and want to try and make it a little bit different and unique from most music today. the 3 main genres I like are Piano Rock, Acoustic Rock and Punk Pop. Bands that i like from each of them are:

I haven’t been hearing many new bands (and if so they aren’t really that impressive) I like pretty much any style. Currently I am looking for some original piano pop / piano driven rock in the likes of something corporate / jack’s mannequin or fun like the rocket summer … is there any site where I can find new bands? I used www.alternative2punk.com sometimes. If I like the music then I head to the local record shop — any other sites like that?
