Every so often I usually come across a piano piece I really love and I learn to play it but this hasn’t happened recently and I have not come across any pieces of music that just jump out at me and I am getting tired of playing my old pieces.
So I am asking you to help me. Can you think of anything good to play on the piano?
Suggest anything..I usually go for something classical but I wouldn’t mind trying some jazz or rag.
Oh and nothing higher than a grade 5 difficulty!
Thanks

I’m playing piano for a retirement party in 3 days. It just has to be background music for 2-ish hours. So far I have a bit of jazz, popular, and classical that I’m playing for an exam. I’m just not sure what would be the best music to play, or what I can learn in two days, as it was kind of short notice. Are there any songs that are really popular with people maybe age 60(?). I have quite a few simple piano books.

i play piano for almost 7 years now and all i ever learned was classical (because i went to music school). whenever someone tells me to play something i play classical because its the only thing i know to play. now i wanna learn some jazz because the pieces arent so simple, and are cool and different, so when asked to play anything i could play jazz. now, what are some famous pieces that i should start with?

I’ve been a piano musician for about 15 years now so I know a little theory and I can play. I play jazz, some gospel, and used to play classical.
I’d like to learn Rock guitar mainly. I really dont care to be a classical guitarist but should I start at blues guitar first than work my way up to Rock? Wana get them fast riffs
I should also add that I’ve taken 2 Guitar courses in highschool already. Passed no problem
. I have like a Fender Squire at home and an effects program in case I want to use it called Guitar Rig 2. I got a little skill under my belt lol.

Hi. Each week at school we have a combined assembly together. The leader of the assembly wants me to play something on the piano a little later on in the year. Anyway what’s a song that would be really good. I don’t want classical or rock. I want a modern, intricate (maybe somewhat jazz like piano) piece. Just to give you a general idea, I would like to think I’m an alright pianist. I normally play by ear. I can read, but normally I’m too slow at reading and I get frustrated and just play by ear…. so I could learn the song by reading and then once I get the general idea of the tune I can practice and play by ear. So what’s some excellent modern songs.

I’m a musician (high school level saxophonist) and I’m looking for a keyboard simply to use for practicing pieces with simple accompaniments, figuring out chords for jazz, and maybe even learn a bit more piano-nothing serious, I don’t want to spend more than 0 at the most. What’s the best keyboard for this price range that fits my needs? Deals on eBay and Craigslist are also acceptable-used or refurbished is fine too, again, I really don’t need much out of it. Also, USB/MIDI input would be good for use with music writing software like MuseScore.

Is this book a good choice for a beginning piano student that is aspiring to learn about the keyboard with an emphasis on jazz? This would be for a student that has no experience sight reading or playing piano.
